Advice to Yourself / Baby on Board / Chef's Spicy Salad

Warning: Spoilers
It's still Saturday morning. Let's see if we can get another episode in. I'll just adjust the rabbit ears of the old tube and see whether the reception brings a Gopher riding down on the Cathode Ray. That stock shot of the 'egg' box is a thing of beauty. I hope we see that 'egg' box again. This one pairs Eva Gabor and Leslie Nielsen. She's from Green Acres and, uh, hey, I love Green Acres. She made an entire career on a silly accent. Neilsen was just on the verge of a career reinvention. Of course, I loved him the contemporary Day of the Animals. After growing up with the 'funny,' Neilsen, I find it refreshing to come back to the 'stoic' Neilsen. Gabor plays an advice columnist. Hubby Neilsen is kind of disgruntled about his wife's busy workload. 'It's very difficult to make love while you're typing,' she says. Can anyone give them some advice? Al Molinaro plays the new chef (There's no mention of P. J. Because of course this show doesn't really do much in the way of continuity.) He's feuding with Captain Stubing. 'Before we sail, run out and get me a TV dinner,' Stubing says. Molinaro says the Italian people back more than all the mafia stereotypes combined. Robert Urich plays Jeff, a man in the travel business. Julie spots fresh meat. Problem: Jeff's wife has come on board, and, uh, she's in the family way. She's played by Pamela Franklin, of The Legend of Hell House. Can the baby bring them back together? This is the first time we've seen the ship casino. I do like it when we get a single shot that seamlessly combines two of our subplots. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 3 * out of a possible 4 *.
