I like Higgins' centric episodes
gfrost76173 November 2022
The late John Hillerman was a fantastic actor. I liked when he played various half brothers with different accents. Mr. Hillerman was from Texas. He was so good with his accent, that even people from England thought he was a British actor. This episode has him on the surface as having gone rogue which Magnum can't believe. In earlier episodes and even this one, they were often at odds with each other but neither one would quit the estate and Mr. Masters would probably not fire either one. Eventually Magnum finds out Higgins was up to. It's a really good episode and really further develops the relationship between the two as well as Rick and TC.

Directed by Virgil W. Vogel

Warning: Spoilers
Virgil W. Vogel directs this quixotic episode of Magnum that no doubt divides the opinions of the Magnum fans for sure. The idea of Higgins being involved in a coup (his face is even on the flag!) is something to behold really.

The body count in this episode is pretty much non-stop and it's quite wanton for sure, and I'm surprised we the viewers didn't see any blood shed on screen. It just seemed like an episode of The A-Team for sure really.

Anyway, Virgil W. Vogel does a decent job with the script and who know whether Virgil W. Vogel took pride in this episode that was Higgins-centric for sure.

This is Hawaii! The body count is unbelievable! This is a plot too far!

Honestly not the best of Magnum!
