Candy Clark returns as a lady of the night in this seventh season of Magnum, P. I., I must admit, I hardly watched Magnum back in the 80s when it debuted, but I've been enjoying watching it over the past few months.

Yankee Chang plays the Janitor at Island Breeze, Karen Joy Melton Gymrek plays the Woman, and Tina Machado plays the Bartender.

I love the sub-plot of Magnum trying to redeem himself in a fund-raising relay race at the end, and I kind of wonder what happened.

One thing I like about this episode is the beautiful scenery that Hawaii offered in the 80s. I must admit, I haven't watched the reboot.

It's a most welcome surprise to see Leslie return. She was the prostitute who Thomas hid in his room when he spent an episode trying to be more mature by working as a hotel detective and she was on the run from dangerous mobsters.

Here, she hires Thomas to find her missing younger sister, Patty, also a prostitute (hey, in some families it's tradition to join the police, in some it's tradition to serve in the armed forces...) His work is hampered by the fact that he's badly sprained his ankle while practising for a charity relay race and even more hampered by Leslie herself.

Leslie is a riot, which is surely why they brought her back. She's sweet but incredibly mouthy at the same time, and she's always guaranteed to place both herself and Thomas in danger by not following his instructions. She has more arguments with him in each episode than even Higgins has ever done.

Eventually, after Leslie's inevitably gotten herself kidnapped by the same people who are holding Patty, Thomas finds them. It turns out Patty tried to blackmail the wrong client. Obviously, she shares her sister's talent for needlessly endangering her own life.

Luckily, Thomas has called the police beforehand. They arrive and a big firefight ensues, during which Leslie does the same hilarious funny running and screaming thing she did before. The bad guys are defeated and arrested. Now all that's left is for Thomas to run the race. We don't get to see the result but it doesn't matter, since he and his team will certainly be disqualified for the most outrageously illegal start ever.
