Beau Maverick has decided to settle down and own a casino and in this case in
partnership with Henry Brandon. Any Maverick knows the house odds are the
best. But Brandon is shot and killed by saloon entertainer Kathleen Crowley who
did many Maverick episodes.
In a bit borrowed from Naughty Marietta, Crowley exchanges identities and professions with another woman who was heading to another town for a teaching position. She's got a wanted Roger Moore trailing her and he's being trailed by Deputy Sheriff Brad Johnson and Bing Russell the deceased's brother who just wants to shoot him and have done with it.
Crowley steals the show in this one especially trying to teach school to some older kids with developing hormones in puberty.
