Second and final appearance by Mona Freeman as Modesty Blaine. When the character was brought back in the series finale One of Our Trains Is Missing (1962) it was recast with Kathleen Crowley
as Blaine.
The "Wilhelm Scream" is heard as Gilespie McKensie goes overboard near the end of the story. The "Wilhelm Scream" was a stock sound effect used hundreds of times. It was attributed to Sheb Wooley. The sound effect was named for his character Pvt. Wilhelm, in the 1953 western "The Charge at Feather River", even though it was first heard in 1951 in the movie "Distant Drums".
