Cousins Bart and Beau Maverick have a string of good luck in the town of Stop Gap at the poker tables. But they fall victim to one really sweet con job involving
the telegrapher in the town. They are relieved of their money and get to spend
some time in the town jail for fraud.
At least Roger Moore does, Jack Kelly is let out so he can raise the money to make good their "debt" or to find out what's going on.
I have to say that the town's isolation plays a big part in the story. Remember in those days the telegraph was the main source of information for one from the outside world.
The cousins do work well together, this is a splendid story.
