In an interview with the Archives of American Television creator Roy Huggins described a conversation in the early 70s while working at Universal. "When I walked into Universal on the morning The Sting (1973) came out, Max Baer Jr.
was...outside my office, and he says, "Roy, are you going to sue?" I didn't know what he was talking about. "What do you mean?" He says, "You didn't see 'Sting'?" I say no; he says, "Well see it, because the first half of it is 'Shady Deal at Sunny Acres'!""
This story was somewhat remade as The Great Blue Lake Land and Development Company (1975). It was also remade as Dreadful Sorry Clementine (1971). All three were productions of Roy Huggins.
