This Maverick episode finds him saved by an outlaw Tommy Farrell when some
sore poker losers try to kill him. Farrell's an amiable sort who has a conscience.
When he's killed by outlaws as he lays dying he confesses that Richard Crane was
identified wrongly and sent to prison for a robbery Farrell was part of. He makes
James Garner promise to set it right.
Almost guided by an unseen hand of providence Garner finds the men. He also finds Joan Vohs who is Crane's wife standing by her man despite Crane urging her to divorce him and neighbor Richard Webb eager to marry her.
A couple of surprises in this story but justice is served as Bret Maverick completes his mission.
