And then Turk would've tried to gun us down and take it all himself, but I would have been ready for him, and I figured you would be, too. I know. I know it's just a waste of words. But as long as I went to the trouble to figure it all out, I thought someone ought to hear it.

  Sheriff Edwards : Yeah. You ought to put it to music, Maverick. It made a mighty sad song.

  Bart Maverick : No. But why start now?
