- Sgt. Joe Broadhurst: Hey, eh, doesn't anybody here know how to treat a man with a broken leg? You force brandy down his throat, that's how you treat him!
- Nora Mullins: You're gun? You lost your gun?
- Sam McCloud: No, it's not exactly lost, I just don't know where it is. I mean... I know the one who took it's got it, but I...
- Nora Mullins: Wait, if you know the one who took it's got it, it was tooken...
- [catchers herself]
- Nora Mullins: ... taken. You mean, stolen. A police weapon.
- Charles Latimer: And so, the last chapter in the charismatic life of Cesare Cimarosa ends in a cloud of gas and mystery.
- Peter B. Clifford: A gun, McCloud, a monstrous cannon of a frontier Colt 45 has fallen into the hands of the enemy.
- Sam McCloud: Well, I just can't think of the little fella like that.
- Peter B. Clifford: You mean 'little fellon'.
- Sgt. Joe Broadhurst: Don't believe he's all that bitter, McCloud, Sergeant Toomey is a living legend. A hero, with medals.
- Sgt. Edward Toomey: Hah! Yeah, I pin 'em over the bullet holes. Saves reweaving the uniform.
- Sam McCloud: Nothing was taken... well, that makes just about as much sense as a pre-fabricated post-hole.
- Sam McCloud: Boy, can you feature that? Just expects me to drop everything and go traipsing back to New Mexico. Don't they know I've got better things to do here in New York?
- Chris Coughlin: There you go.
- Peter B. Clifford: A gun, McCloud, a monstrous cannon of a frontier Colt 45 has fallen into the hands of the enemy.
- Sam McCloud: Well, I just can't think of the little fella like that.
- Peter B. Clifford: You mean 'little felon'.
- Sgt. Edward Toomey: Uh, chief. In all fairness to the marshal, this kid, Tobe, is kinda like a neighborhood character. Nobody knows where he lives or who he belongs to. He seem to support himself by helping himself, but you wouldn't think that he'd steal your gun.
- Sam McCloud: No.
- Sgt. Edward Toomey: I mean, he doesn't come on, like, bad.
- Sam McCloud: Well, that's what I've been trying to get at. He, uh... I dunno, he's kinda, uh uh, charming.
- Sgt. Edward Toomey: Charming.
- Peter B. Clifford: The word, I believe, is "disarming".
