Binghamton's eyesight is worse than first thought.

In this episode, Ensign Parker has again been rejected for promotion by Binghamton. With Parker feeling blue, the crew makes up a punching-bag that resembles Binghamton for Parker to take his frustrations out. While Parker goes and gets some boxing gloves the real Binghamton makes an appearance on the island. When Parker returns he hits the real Binghamton and now is in the brig for assaulting an officer.

In the papers the crew has read that there is a new Senator in charge of Naval affairs. The Senator in charge is Joseph Parker. Now the crew thinks of a scheme where they will hint around that Senator Parker is Ensign Parker's uncle and they are sure that Binghamton will release Parker from the brig.

Everything is going to plan until by happenstance, the plane that Senator Parker is riding on is going to make a landing at Taratupa. Now the entire crew of the 73 is in hot water unless things change.

The episode was actually very well performed. Even though the gag with Binghamton's glasses was running long, it still was funny enough to keep the viewer interested in the show. It has taken a few shows in this third season to get some performances that were memorable enough to make the series such a favorite. And with more than a few duds in this season, this show was the exception. Good watch.
