Awesome episode , an old college rival comes to dinner , played by Alan Hale Jr. (Skipper of Gilligans Island ) as Karl Dickinson who arrives with his beautiful young wife , Blanche ( Donna Douglass of The Beverly Hillbillies ). Wilbur was the water boy of his college football team and known as "dipper" ! So Karl owns a horse he will ride in a jumping competition , and a bet is placed between the men with their horses as to the winner . I love seeing TV stars in other roles , Ms. Douglass was a year away from being in the Beverly Hillbillies and Alan Hale was three years from "Gilligan" and I guess would have been 40 yrs. old at this time. Donna only has one scene in the episode but you know her as soon as she enters the Post house . Classic TV ! enjoy !
