When Wilbur (Alan Young) steps out, "Ed" (voiced by Allan Lane) answers a radio quiz question correctly, naming the capitol of Iceland. This qualifies the telephone answerer for a $5,000 giant jackpot. Wilbur and Ed hope to finance a rip to Europe with the prize money. Informed of the win by Carol (Connie Hines), Wilbur decides to "bone up" on facts and figures, with coaching from Ed. Though not as smart as a talking horse, Wilbur studies as much as humanly possible. When the time comes to answer the big question, however, Wilbur needs Ed's help. They must figure out how to win the contest without revealing Ed's secret. Hollywood veteran Lyle Talbot has a good time as the quizmaster.
