It was only a matter of time Jerry Mathers would appear on the show, especially since Tony Dow had guested years earlier. He's a bit more grown up and looks quite handsome with a moustache. What a treat! Very cleverly written by Gwen Bagni, a popular tv writer at the time, who was also doing episodes for the MOD SQUAD. This was the only episode she wrote for the series, and its a shame.
It's all about "the neighbors!"... Robbie and Katie have their hands full with Joe Lawrie (Mathers) and his wife, played by Lori Martin, who happen to be living next door, and it's too close for comfort in an apartment building. Interestingly, Lori actually played Jerry Mathers girlfriend in one of the last episodes of LEAVE IT TO BEAVER. Great trivia question. This would be her second appearance on the show, and is fondly remembered among fans, having passed very suddenly.
