Two British cops show up after a brutal rape/murder occurs. This guy has been doing his thing in London and Manchester, and a retired cop follows him to America. The subtleties of the story are what make it. Andy learns that there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Tea and Standing

I have been working my way through my NYPD Blue box set and just arrived at this episode. I was surprise to see the wonderful British character actor John Standing with a decidedly dodgy London/cockney accent. Why not let him speak in his normal British voice? Was it so that the Yanks, who can't tell a Brit from an Aussie can be sure he comes from London. ( when I was in NY i was constantly being asked if I was an Aussie, I'm from London ).
Still he stole the show together with a fine performance from South African born Sandi Schultz and the creepy Simon Templeman.
An all round fab episode, just one star off for the accent which wasn't bad just unnecessary.
