Miss Bonnie Scotland, the third non-celebrity contestant, had actually been backstage in August awaiting her turn, but time ran out on the live program before she could appear.
The full initials of second contestant A. Sailor were actually I. M. A. Sailor.
Moderator Robert Q. Lewis did a live commercial for a toy Swanson 18-wheeler truck, then spontaneously gave the toy truck he had been holding for the spot to the first contestant, six-year-old Charles Boyer. The little boy headed right back to the moderator's desk for the toy after receiving his checks from the panelists. Lewis had placed the toy on the floor beside him during the boy's appearance and Master Charles Boyer plainly was more interested in the truck than in the pieces of paper handed to him by the panelists.
The contestants were: Master Charles BOYER (same name as the actor), Mr. A. SAILOR (and he actually was in the U.S. Navy!) and Miss Bonnie SCOTLAND. In the celebrity ''I'd Like to Be'' segment, actress Ann SOTHERN wished she was boxer Gene TUNNEY.
The telecast was live from New York and was sponsored by ''C.A. Swanson and Sons of Omaha, Nebraska, packers of America's best-known brand of canned and frozen poultry.''
