George the used car salesman
Jimmy_the_Gent49 June 2018
George quits his handyman job to become a used car salesman.

A good George episode. There are some funny scenes in the used car lot where his dishonest co worker tries to steal business from him. A funny running gag has Dick on the phone with a lost guest, reminiscent of Newhart's classic phone routines. There is also a funny subplot about Michael making making a snow sculpture of Stephanie and hearing them whine and cry when it melts.

What Can You Do With a Snow Stephanie
Hitchcoc29 March 2023
This is a cute episode. George has a scrapbook where he keeps significant things he encountered in life--including significant light bulbs. He feels he has missed out on other hopes and experiences. Number one on the list is to be a used car salesman. So he grabs the first job he sees. As we see, he is an honest man and a gentle man. Also, Dick is incompetent when it comes to fixing things. Tom Poston was one of our most endearing actors, going all the way back to the Steve Allen Show where he played a man on the street with Louis Nye and Don Knotts. There is a funny secondary bit where a woman is trying to find her way to the Stratford, calling Dick along the way, and ending up in Quebec.
