Although subtle, this is the first instance where the series addresses bias against Asians. When Hudson makes his offer to Mitsou to drop the charges against her, they both use voice inflection suggesting that Hudson would rather that Grove date Alice Carson because of her race.
The music sting heard at the two minute mark was apparently added to the CBS music library, and was heard throughout the 1970s on "The CBS Radio Mystery Theater," usually right after a plot twist.
