When Paul and Perry question the messenger inside his van, it is supposed to be nighttime. The view outside the van's windows is dark; the inside of the van is mostly dark with just a few accent lights; and the van's headlights are on when it pulls up behind Perry's car. But as Perry gets out of the car and walks back to the van, the neighborhood around it is brightly lighted, as if it were midday. The camera operator apparently didn't use a strong enough filter to make it seem nighttime.
At about 0:17, Mr. Pierce accuses Mr. Marshall of "inferring" theft for the second time. He may have initially inferred as much, i.e., drawn the conclusion from information he accessed, but in suggesting the idea to someone else he implied it.
