First of all, on Carter's case. Roe vs. Wade came about so that women, who have to carry a baby where the husband has no responsibilities for its care, can choose what to do with their own bodies. Bone did the right thing but his little commentary afterward was bogus. So fathers have no rights, huh. They have always had the right to force another human being to be enslaved because of a human act with great consequences where the male can walk away, mistreat the child, or whatever, and the woman becomes the caregiver. In the other case, because some small town attorney decided precedent should be changed, lo and behold, they overturn a major case decision which was never filed legally. This is another case where this show dropped the ball.
