This episode, in which black people are harassed by a group that has modeled itself on the Ku Klux Klan, was banned and never shown in the UK because of its racial content.
This banned from UK broadcast episode was included on the Contender Entertainment Group DVD box of the complete series. However certain character elements of Bodie did seem to be out of place in this episode compared to his persona in the rest of the run.
In an interview for BBC Radio 4 in December 2009, Anthony Booth recalled that during filming, several of his black co-stars felt that he played his role with such conviction that they suspected he was a racist in real life.
Much of this episode was shot in a small area of Southall. Some key locations were filmed along White Street, shortly before its crumbling properties were completely demolished. Although the road still exists, it is now swallowed up by British Gas and cannot be navigated by Google Street View.
The copy of The Times newspaper seen in this episode is from Tuesday 15th November 1977.
