Warning: Spoilers
A deposed African leader seems help to gain power back but there are those who stop at nothing to stop. The Ojuka Situation is an action filled episode as Bodie and Doyle foil many attempts to kill same deposed president. Fast paced, a twisty plot and some great guest perfomances. These include an early appearance by Charles Dance as a South African hit man his scenes with Martin Shaw's Doyle cackle. One of the show's best.

The Ojuka Situation

The Ojuka Situation features an early appearance from Charles Dance as a South African hitman. In the BBC genealogy series 'Who Do You Think You Are' Charles found out that his father did not die when Charles was four but he ended up getting married again and had a daughter who lived in South Africa!

Bodie and Doyle have to protect Hakim Ojuka (Clarke Peters) the deposed was the leader of an African country. Hakim is not one to take his downfall lying down. Despite his despotic leanings, he is plotting to lead his country again and seeks assistance from the UK government.

Even when visiting a school for his son, someone attempts to kill Hakim. It is a good job he is handy with a gun.

Cowley thinks that someone in the British government might be leaking information. Someone sees Hakim as an enemy and wants him out of the way so they would be in favour with the new regime in his country.

No matter how safe CI5 try to keep Hakim, someone always gets close to have a pop at him.

It does not take much to figure out who might be leaking information. It is Hakim who turns out to be too trusting. It is interesting that The Professionals like a lot of other shows of that era saw African countries as a cesspit of regimes that regularly ended having a coup.

Clarke Peters seems to be having a good time as the gun toting Hakim. There is more good banter between Doyle and Bodie. Murphy make his final appearance as part of the CI5 team. Some nasty bureaucrats in the government are intent in making Cowley's life harder. It just that this type of episode was done several times in The Professionals.
