I'm surprised that Eric Fleming given that he and the rest of the drovers were southerners in the late war between the states that he would even let one of Matthew Brady's assistants anywhere near his cattle drive. Still Eddie Albert is proving such a nuisance that he detaches his own ramrod Clint Eastwood to get Albert to a rendezvous point.
But at said rendezvous point they meet up with a group of second tier outlaws. Folks like Morgan Woodward, Ben Cooper, Richard X. Slattery, etc. They'd soon kill Albert and Eastwood as well as look at them. But Clint has to admit Albert's gift of gab has kept them alive.
Eddie Albert is never bad in anything in that astonishing range of characters he's portrayed over a decades long career. His fans won't be disappointed.
