"The Liberators" starts out in fine fashion, but bogs down quickly. Johnny Yuma rides into a deserted town, where drinks, goods, and even money have been left behind, out in the open. Behind the general store Yuma discovers two sisters caring for their ailing father, the only ones who stayed behind after the rest of the townspeople fled. The arrival of a scavenger gang led by the Commandante (Nico Minardos) puts a temporary halt to the danger, as they proceed to loot the area while their wounded leader is tended to by one of the sisters, who doubles as a doctor. Another untimely arrival, this one unseen, signals another massacre that leaves the town further decimated. Joan Vohs and Jody Warner play the sisters, smaller roles for Paul Clarke (previously seen in "The Crime") and William Harlow (last of seven).
