While North Fork excitedly awaits the arrival of a new preacher, Mark uncovers evidence that suggests the new parson is not only not a preacher, but may in face be planning to use the occasion to rob the town bank.
North Fork's new preacher and his wife are murdered by a gang of outlaws. Two of them pose as the new reverend and wife in order to help the gang gain unsuspected entrance to the town. The preacher uses his first meeting as an occasion to set up a distraction for the others while they rob the bank. Meanwhile, Mark has learned of the ruse, and is taken captive to keep him silent. Lucas and Micah must find Mark and stop the outlaws if they are not to carry out their designs against the bank.—Charles Delacroix
Mark believes the new preacher's wife is not who she says she is, and when he tries to tell Lucas, Lucas shortly tells him not to interrupt and to go away. Outside, the preacher, actually an outlaw, imprisons Mark, and has him tied to a wagon wheel and gagged while he and the rest of the gang proceed with their plans to rob the bank.—Jasha
North Fork welcomes it's new preacher and his wife without realizing they are part of a gang of outlaws intent on robbing the bank. The plan is to have the new minister call a prayer meeting and while the good townsfolk are singing hymns, the others in the gang will rob the bank and slip out of town, sight unseen. Mark McCain realizes that something is wrong and tries to tell his father who is busy talking to the Marshal. Realizing that Mark is on to them, the gang takes Mark prisoner.—garykmcd
