Simply put. John Anderson

John Anderson's Shakespearean deliveries during the trial are simply magnificent! He's got to be the most unrecognized superior actor of all time. "...the thumb squeezes..."

No suspense to this replayed plot.

Just outside North Fork there is a railroad track camp that is run by a hard-nose man named John Gangling (John Anderson). But we learn very quick that Mr Gangling is a money hungry person that will even kill to fat his pocket. When he kills a man it just so happens that an Indian, John Wing, comes up on the scene and Mr Gangling relates the story that the Indian was the murderer. And now the vigilante justice of the railroad camp is set to hang the young Indian.

Lucas gets involved when the Indian takes refuge in the McCain's barn and now Lucas, according to camp law, will also be charged with a crime that may result in a double hanging. And if found guilty the sentenced is to be carried out within the hour.

The story was not bad but when we got to the camp court hearing it seemed that Lucas knew more about how railroad employees are paid even more than the railroad workers. The episode hinged on the fact that two innocent people could be sentenced to death but there really was no suspense. It was too predictable with a rehashed plot. Even Chuck Connors seemed too routine to replay this tired script.
