The episode begins in a rather shocking manner when Lucas witnesses a shooting while working on his fence all in the first ten seconds of the show. This sets up a situation where Lucas is set to go to court and testify that he saw young Corey Hazlitt shoot the man in the back. But it will not be easy as the family of young Corey will do anything to keep Lucas from testifying.
The father of Corey, Frank Hazlitt (Denver Pyle), is set on making sure Lucas knows that if he was to testify against his son harm will come to Lucas' son, Mark. He even calls in the large tough family member, in the form of Richard Kiel, to get the point across. Lucas is faced with a tough situation.
In this thirty minute format, the show seemed quick as the meat of the story came and went rather fast. But as always, we are treated to a fine western theme show that was performed well. Plus, as always, we get to look into the love that Lucas has for his son. Good watch!
