• Jill Danko : [Officer Terry Webster, in full uniform, is at the nurse's station at Memorial Hospital, inquiring about the medical condition of his partner, Officer Chris Owens. Chris was shot earlier that day when he was picking up tickets to a concert. Nurse Jill Danko is quietly upset as she replies]  Still critical. He lost a lot of blood and his vital signs won't stabilize. I wish I could paint you a brighter picture, Terry.

  Officer Terry Webster : [Jill is gazing intently at Terry as she speaks. Terry lowers his eyes, as he, too, is upset at the news. He looks up at Jill and speaks quietly]  Well, you can only paint with the colours you got, Jill.

  Jill Danko : [Jill continues speaking in a hushed voice]  Dr Harris is the best around.

  Officer Terry Webster : [Terry nods soberly and closes his eyes before answering in a soft voice, almost whispering]  I know. I think I'll stick around.

  Jill Danko : [Jill knows how upset Terry is about Chris. She glances at her wristwatch, then offers to stay with him while he's awaiting word about any changes or updates on Chris's condition]  Well, look, I go off duty now. You mind if I stick with you?

  Officer Terry Webster : [Terry offers Jill a small smile as he looks at her in gratitude]  I can always use a friend.

  Jill Danko : [Jill continues to make an effort to comfort Terry. She smiles, then speaks quietly to him]  If love has the power to heal, Chris will make it.

  [Terry takes hold of Jill's hand as she gets to her feet. Terry smiles slightly as he, too, rises from his seat] 

  Jill Danko : See you when I change.

  [Jill walks away to go change out of her uniform; Terry, deep in thought, walks over to the visitors' waiting area and sits down to wait for Jill to return]
