• Officer Terry Webster : [Officer Terry Webster is off-duty, in regular street clothes. He's walking down the hallway of the police precinct and he stops in front of Lt. Ryker, who is standing in the middle of the hall. Lt. Ryker's facial expression is very serious and he pulls Terry off to one side to ask him a question]  Yes, sir.

  Lt. Ryker : [Terry looks at directly at Lt. Ryker, not sure why he's being questioned]  Want to talk to you a second. This cadet that rode with you a couple of days ago... you know where he is?

  Officer Terry Webster : [Terry is mystified, and shakes his head]  No, sir.

  Lt. Ryker : [Lt. Ryker stares right through Terry]  You leveling with me now, are you?

  Officer Terry Webster : [Terry stares back at Lt. Ryker, still not sure what all this questioning is about]  Yes, sir. Why would I lie?

  Lt. Ryker : [Lt. Ryker continues, his facial expression not changing. His eyes never leave Terry's face]  Because you and Gillis have been known to take in strays before and keep it a secret. Just want to make sure this boy didn't lay a sad tale on you and the two of you didn't take him in.

  Officer Terry Webster : [Terry smiles slightly, looks down, then he looks directly at Lt. Ryker]  No, sir. Ummm, the last I seen him, he was gonna give Eric Cory a ride home.

  [Terry shrugs his shoulders] 

  Lt. Ryker : [Lt. Ryker is very concerned about the missing boy]  Well, maybe he drove the other boy home; he never got there himself. His mother just called; she's worried sick. Why don't you go ahead and get into your uniform and you check that out. I'll call Missing Persons and we'll see if we can come up with something.

  [Lt. Ryker retains his concerned expression; Terry looks away from Lt. Ryker for a moment, then looks down, not sure how to respond] 

  Officer Terry Webster : [Terry nods in agreement]  Yes, sir.

  [Terry walks away toward the locker room to change into his uniform]
