Best Episode of the series.

With a show like this, the laughs are aplenty (albeit, the last official season is pretty lackluster), but this one hits all of the marks. Funny, but super emotional in every sense that hits close to home in todays society. Laurie Metcalf's performance is super endearing, poignant and powerful. You feel every word, sort of what Fisher must've felt like when Dan got to him. The follow up episode (as this is a 2-parter) is hilarious. So in a sense, you get kinda the best of both worlds. I grew up with this show, but obviously as a kid, there are things you're going to miss, but being able to come back to it all these years later definitely says something.

Yes, this series is older, but still resonates.

Do. Not. Miss. This. One.

Crime and Punishment (#5.13)

Warning: Spoilers
DJ is caught with some obscene reading material and Dan goes to school thinking it is his playboy but turns out it is Darlene's comic book. And Jackie doesn't give time to Roseanne because of Fisher but comes over after saying that she feels sorry and will take her out. Yet she is caught by Darlene with bruised back. Fisher beat her up. Dan goes and beats him as well and gets arrested.

Such a great episode. They made it on a serious subject matter with very touching moments but managed to keep it a comedy show.

I didn't expect Fisher would beat Jackie up. He seemed like such a nice character. But I guess this is what it is, people we don't expect to do it do it anyways. Great how Darlene caught her and her reaction to it was very well done.

The story about the comic was the funny part. I guess we won't hear about it again as it was probably done to soften up the serious matter of the main story. We got to laugh about how disturbed Darlene's fantasy is and Dan got to wave to the school principal from the police car.
