Once again, a microscope is used incorrectly to look at an electronic device, after which the scientist spews some nonsensical gibberish and declares it can pick up sounds over a hundred miles away. A microscope will only magnify the exterior of a device without allowing one to see inside so it is impossible for him to know what components are in the device. It is also impossible for him to look at the device and make the ridiculous claim that it can pick up sounds from over a hundred miles away, especially since he admits he knows nothing about the technology.
In the introduction Truman Bradley calls the instrument an "electronic microscope." The correct name is "electron microscope" not electronic microscope.
The TV announcer says a new antibiotic which will kill all known viruses has been discovered. Antibiotics kill bacteria not viruses. The correct term is anti-viral.
The two scientists look at the culture with a microscope and declare that there is nothing harmful in it. It is impossible to tell if something is dangerous by looking at it with a microscope which only magnifies the image but reveals nothing about how it will act in the human body.
