Once again we have a person acting in an irrational way, asking scientists to figure out why he acted the way he did. The story begins with a young woman making a call from an old-fashioned phone booth. He watches her from outside the restaurant which contains the booth. He then walks in, enters the phone booth, and strangles her. He then goes to the lunch counter and makes an order. Of course, he is picked up but has no recollection of the events. Victor Jory is the rather cynical police officer who is having none of it. In the process of investigating the hours behavior the crime, it becomes obvious that the man attended a movie. In the movie a murder takes place, exactly the same phone booth murder committed by the man. Also, Jory's detective becomes affected by the flicker of the film. An experiment ensues dealing with the frequency of the frames in the film. It's another one of those hypnosis things.
