Shaft is hired to prove the innocence of a young man accused of an accidental hit-and-run killing with a stolen car. He finds that the victim was a casino enforcer who was trying to skim off his employer, and that his killing was probably not an accident at all.—rbecker28
When a man is killed in what appears to be a hit and run. The police arrest a young man because his prints were in the car. His father hires a lawyer who then hires Shaft to investigate. The young man claims he came across the man and moved the car then called the police then left. Shaft learns the victim worked for a man who owns a gambling casino and he was his debt collector. Shaft also learns that he also extorting from the people he collected which gives his boss a motive to kill him. Shaft meets with owner of the car that was used to kill the man who says that he doesn't know the man. But Shaft discovers the car owner goes to the casino and amassed a large debt.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
