Episode 60 begins with Mary learning she's pregnant,and eager to celebrate with her husband Burt,who cannot divulge his fatal illness to his wife.Ducking into a laundromat during a thunderstorm,Danny and Polly,an interracial couple deeply in love,can't help attracting attention with their kissing,but Danny objects to everyone staring "because we're a bisexual couple!" Their romance inspires his most frequent phrase,"some people just have nothing BETTER to do!"(The irresistible Lynne Moody,of ROOTS,really makes it work).Danny tells his mother he's in love with a black woman,and she hopes he'll take everything in stride as to the opinions of others(something Jodie really understands better: "if you really love her,don't let her go,because you may never find her again,and that would be worse than anything anybody could ever do to you").Mary shares the joy of pregnancy with her sister Jessica,until she realizes that it might turn out to be the child of Burt's alien double.Billy and Leslie awaken the morning after,and the no longer virginal Billy has finally discovered something better than television!("this is the greatest thing that ever happened to me,I should have started this ten years ago!") He announces he feels like running up to the roof to tell the whole neighborhood what happened(Leslie:"well I'm sure that most of them already know!" Billy:"I was a little loud wasn't I!") She tries to tell him that sex wears off in time(Billy:"I can't imagine why!" Leslie:"you know Billy,sex isn't everything!" Billy:"you're wrong!") One of the funniest scenes,even if you're a virgin.
