Quotes

  • John Koenig : The giant leap for Mankind... it's beginning to look like a stumble in the dark.

  • [last lines]

Cmdr. John Koenig : September thirteen, nineteen ninety nine. Meta signals increasing. Yes, maybe there.

  • Cmdr. John Koenig : Attention all sections Alpha. This is Commander John Koenig. As you know, our Moon has been blasted out of orbit. We have been completely cut of from Planet Earth. As we are, we have power, environment; and therefore, a possibility of survival. If we should try to improvise a return to Earth without travel plots, without full resources; it is my belief that we would fail. Therefore, in my judgement, *we do not try*.

  • Cmdr. John Koenig : Whatever affected the two probe astronauts, and killed the other nine men, wasn't radiation

Prof. Victor Bergman : Seems not

    Cmdr. John Koenig : Damnit!

Collins : [Losing composure]  Commander, I've got to get out of here!

Cmdr. John Koenig : [Unaware of Collins's rising distress]  All right Collins, we're leaving right now...

Collins : [Becoming agitated]  Now. Now! NOW!

[Koening turns to look at Collins, whose right eye is now completely clouded over]

Collins : Move aside Commander! I'm getting out-!

[Knocks Koenig and Bergman to the floor in a blind rage. He then staggers to an exterior window and repeatedly slams his helmet against it. Cracks begin to appear in the glass immediately]

Cmdr. John Koenig : DON'T DO THAT COLLINS! YOU'LL KILL US ALL!
