Okay, so this is what I call a freebee episode: one with no action, only a series of flashbacks from past episodes. Every series has one or two. Remember "Politics"(season 1)? I was kinda hoping it would be the only one, but there you are. And at least "Politics" did affect the overall situation for at least one episode.
So, as the title implies, this episode is mainly a big reminiscence of all the disasters that SGC (and mostly SG-1) have triggered / avoided/ covered up over the past 6 years. Flashbacks are all you will see of SG-1, by the way (and Jonas is conspicuously absent from them all). Add to that a 30s twist that solves everything without anybody even having to leave their seats... and some declarations that, politically speaking, will really tax your suspension of disbelief. (Who bribed the Russian commander?)
This episode's only saving grace is its first few minutes, in which we see the incredulous ambassadors frantically trying to catch up on 6 years of intergalactic warfare. Oh, and cheers for including MY country there. And for not giving ze ambassador ze ridiculous accent zat French characters so often seem afflicted with. (Edit: I spoke too fast, he will definitely get it next time. Sigh.)
