Let's Pretend We're Strangers is a case study of a sociopath! There is a good looking break and enter sociopath who murders a women. Cunning and knowing what to say and how to manipulate a idealist female lawyer as Mike and Dan try to sole the case is the main story. The lawyer thinks in a normal rational way and can not understand the sociopath which will manipulate and without empathy and destroy whoever in a murderous way. The side story is Dan and the Lawyer go out in the woods for a date and disagree in life. The romance dies because Dan is no Mike Douglas and could not make the romance story work. Well the case is solved and Dan finds the idealist just too much. Not bad to watch.

Robbins Romance

Dan falls for defense attorney Susan Harper, who is defending a client he is sure is guilty.
A very good Season 5 episode, rare chance for Inspector Robbins to have his own story. Linda Kelsey (soon to be Billie on Lou Grant) gives a good performance as Susan. She and Dan have some funny banter. The show begins with a burglar in a ski mask killing a woman in her apartment. The story takes a shocking turn at the middle.
