The Ezra Pound poem from which Mike Stone reads in the Epilogue is "Ancient Music." Pound died on November 1, 1972, just over a month before this episode originally aired.
Started by Frank Petrini in 1935 an Italian immigrant butcher from Lammari, Lucca Italy. The Petrini's market chain was established in San Francisco and run as a family owned business until 1989. The markets were widely known for having the finest meat in the San Francisco area.
