The episode that stands the test of time

Warning: Spoilers
Comic relief episode for sure, but it's great. Cassie Yates, Ben Vernon, and Tony Curtis. Can watch this one all the way through. Catching some of the background and reader boards, I learned about Tommy B's Casino / Liquor Store / Pub, and a few other entertainers of the era. Only one "so bad it's good" moment: This car is being shot too much, run from it!.....Kabloom! Also, Pat Cooper's name was on a reader board from a previous episode.

A Profoundly Ignorant Story
agathonmcgeachy3 May 2021
A nun inherits a deed to the property the Desert Inn was built on from an old homeless guy. WHAT??? Phillip Roth built a hotel/casino/resort on a property he DIDN'T OWN??? How did the homeless guy keep the property taxes paid? Here's how it would have went: Someone acquires the property, gets a deed. Deed passes through some peoples hands as hundreds of years go by. Nevada starts charging landowners property taxes. Old homeless guy defaults on property taxes, three years later, property sold at auction to Phillip Roth. Awwww, NO STORY!
