And then I put my ear to a Bell Telephone
bkoganbing11 March 2019
When the guys arrive in Dennison, Texas in October of 1890 it seems as though the Eisenhower family might just lose the baby to be named Dwight David. The reason is that it takes two days to find the doctor and two days to bring him to their farm. Why? Because the telephone hadn't been invented.

In point of fact lots of people besides Alexander Graham Bell were working on a rudimentary telephone. But Bogg and Jeffrey have to go back to 1876 and see why Bell isn't inventing the telephone.

Two things, lack of money and the fact that Kip Gilman playing Bell is in love. As we know Bell was a teacher of the deaf and it's deaf girl he's in love with Lou Munford. The problem becomes when Bogg violates the Voyager code and falls in love.

What can I say. Ike does get born and we all get to put our ears to a Bell Telephone as the song goes.
