• Jeffrey Jones : [on Christmas Eve 1892, Jeffrey's great-grandparents offer to take custody of him; Bogg agrees it would be best, and leaves]  Bogg, what's going on? Where are you going?

  Phineas Bogg : I'm leaving.

  Jeffrey Jones : [in disbelief]  Leaving? Without me?

  Phineas Bogg : Yeah, without you.

  Jeffrey Jones : But why?

  Phineas Bogg : Your great grandfather can say it a million times better than I can.

  Jeffrey Jones : [increasingly desperate]  Say what?

  Phineas Bogg : That they can take care of you better than I can.

  Jeffrey Jones : [deeply hurt]  There's nothing wrong with the way you take care of me.

  Phineas Bogg : Being a Voyager is no life for a kid. Greek food one day, Chinese food the next, no holidays...

  Jeffrey Jones : D'you ever hear me complaining?

  Phineas Bogg : [haltingly]  Yeah. A lot. Now go back there and get warm, and happy.

  Jeffrey Jones : [furious]  Bogg, stop it! What do you think you're doing?

  Phineas Bogg : What I should have done a long time ago. Giving you a home with a mother and father who love you.

  Jeffrey Jones : [pleading]  But I don't want them. I want you.

  Phineas Bogg : You'll have a family.

  Jeffrey Jones : [shouting the truth]  But I've already got a family! Don't you understand? It's you!
