When John-Boy says goodnight to Gino in the barn, he has on a plaid shirt and a pair of jeans with thin suspenders. In the next scene, John-Boy is writing at his desk before bed and his entire outfit has changed - he is now wearing a shirt with a paisley pattern and overalls. It's highly unlikely that he would change to different clothes just to write, then put on pajamas to go to sleep.
After everyone has gone to bed, Gino breaks into the kitchen and steals the money in a jar. John Walton stops him holding his shotgun on him. Next scene it's the next day and the sheriff has been called. What did they do with Gino all night if he was a flight risk? He would have had to have been tied up or John would have to stay up all night.
At 18:45, telephone poles and Burbank office buildings can be glimpsed behind John-Boy and Gino.
