Chicken Soup

Warning: Spoilers
I give this episode 10 stars because I love storylines with married people who work through their problems and their marriage wins.

This episode is chicken soup for the married soul!

Similar Storyline But Good Acting

Warning: Spoilers
This is an episode I enjoy watching for the acting. The Estrangement starts with the Waltons having yet another visitor coming to the family for refuge like the Dust Bowl cousins, Cora Beth, Cousin Olivia and now Vera Walton. Unlike the recent episode where cousin Olivia comes after losing her husband, Vera is much more interesting. Lindsay Jones is a very good actress playing a rather plain girl who isn't comfortable in the city and blames John Boy for filling Wade's head with dreams. Wade, Richard Hatch, likes city life, likes going out to socialize and wants Vera to dress and be friendly but she's afraid and thinks it's wicked for a woman raising a baby. Wade gets himself into trouble for running moonshine as it gives him a rush like in the army. Wade is a good person he just finds himself changing and Vera won't budge. She wants to go back to mountain life and have her husband back. They must work things out between them and with help from John Walton, Wade sees the error of his ways. A good episode because the acting is believable especially Vera and Wade.
