Jack Lemmon was in New York City for the opening of 'How to Murder Your Wife (1965)' the following Tuesday. Lemmon had finished filming The Great Race (1965) two months before, by the end of November 1964. The movie would be released on July 1, 1965.
William Shatner's first starring series, For the People (1965), would premiere the following Sunday. Even though it was a critically acclaimed drama, the series was canceled after 13 episodes, and left Shatner free to accept the role of 'Captain James T. Kirk' on Star Trek (1966).
