Panelist Anita Gillette was about to premiere in the off-Broadway revival of 'Guys and Dolls', at the City Center theatre. The musical opened on April 28, 1965, and ran for 15 performances. (This episode was prerecorded in April) In August, Gillette would star in the musical production of 'The Great Waltz' (1934) at the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera.
Allan Sherman would release the song parody LP 'My Name is Allan' in October, his seventh comedy album, which peaked at #88 in the 'Billboard 200'. Sherman would also later make a rare primetime TV acting appearance in "The Sheriff of Fetterman's Crossing (1965)", as a local schnook character who becomes sheriff.
