The title and opening credits normally appear immediately after the first commercial break. In this episode they appear later, after Torres has fled Col. Gilbert's shop.
First appearance of Roy Engel as President Ulysses S. Grant. Engel replaces James Gregory, who played Grant in the pilot.
The classical organ music performed during the first quarter of the episode is Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, written by Johann Sebastian Bach. The compilation is two pieces often played in sequence, as was the case in the episodic performance, but significantly condensed in length.
Torres uses wireless remote control to control his lethal rockets. While this is one of those fun anachronisms of the series, it is interesting to note that while wireless remote control was a capability in the 1960s, it wasn't widely used. Outside of radio controlled toys and novelties, wireless mechanical control isn't even widely used today. Hardwired and not wireless electromechanical controls remain the most common and economical technology to mechanically control devices.
The wireless control of the predates the first use of wireless control by nearly nearly 30 years. Nikola Tesla invented a radio control pilotless boat in 1898.
