Jamie : I'm fine. Wow, they ought to give you an award, Wonder Woman.

Duane : It's not as bad as it looks. I've still got a few chips left. We can build up what we lost. It won't take that long.
Jamie : It's after midnight. I'm not gonna stay here for another five hours. Duane, how could you do this? What are you gonna tell your daughter?
Duane : What daughter?
[realizes too late he's caught out]
Duane : Oh, my daughter?
Jamie : You creep. You lousy creep!
Duane : No reason to talk like that.
Jamie : I'm going home. And as for you, you know where you can go, turkey!

Jamie : [arcade Battleships game] Let's see. 8,200 minus 450. At a dollar a point, you would've owed me $7,750. Even at a penny a point, you'd be hurting.
Duane : How'd you get so good at this?
Jamie : Just a knack, I guess.
Duane : Hey. You got yourself some kind of system, don't you?
Jamie : For Pete's sake.
[shakes her head]
Jamie : I just memorize the speed of the ships, calculate the time it takes for the torpedo to intercept, take into account the speed of the torpedo and the drift of the sea mines, and fire. That's all.
Duane : [realizes there's more to this] How much is 12 times 12?
Jamie : 144.
Duane : 12 times 19?
Jamie : 228.
Duane : 19 times 38?
Jamie : 684.
Duane : How many ships were on the screen in the game we just played?
Jamie : Sixty-two.
Duane : How many did I sink?
Jamie : Seven.
Duane : [inhaling in awe] You got one of them photographic memories, don't you? I mean, you're a... What do you call it? A lightning calculator.
Jamie : Look.
[shakes her head]
Jamie : It's just something that I do. I never gave it that much thought.
Duane : You know something, sweetheart? You remind me so much... of my daughter.
[looks down]
Duane : Poor thing.
Jamie : Thanks a lot.
Duane : What I mean to say is, she's in for some hard times, unless I could... But, hey, maybe you with that memory of yours...
[smiles sheepishly, shakes his head, puts his hat back on as he apparently dismisses idea]
Jamie : [puzzled] What?
Duane : Maybe you could... with that wondrous God-given talent you've got, help me to right a wrong that's been done. You think you could be so kind, so merciful, as to do that thing?
Jamie : Sure. I guess so.
Duane : Thank you, child. Bless you.
