A well written script made for an entertaining show.

David Niven plays Milo Brant that happens up on his neighbor, Huddlestone, that has been stabbed. He tells the local Sheriff that he saw an Indian riding away from the scene. The Sheriff is going to make a two day ride to the Indian reservation which leaves the deputy, Jason Merrick, in charge of the town. We will learn that the Deputy has an ax-to-grind with Milo Brant and now the Deputy is out to charge Brant with the murder of Huddlestone by any means possible.

The Huddlestone's have a teenage boy called Thad. Thad a some type of mental condition where he is easily manipulated. The Deputy gets Thad to say that he saw Brant stab his father. Now the Deputy has most of the town calling for the arrest. The Deputy has waiting a long time for this moment. He finally has his chance for revenge.

This was a well written script that had the viewer glued to the screen the entire time. An enjoyable story that made for an entertaining watch. Good show.

You don't notice the English accent

Dick Powell's partner in Four Star Productions David Niven never did any westerns on the big screen, but he got to go west in a trio of episodes he did for the Zane Grey Theater. In this second of the three Niven plays a farmer who has his pistol stolen from him by a wild neighbor kid played by Malcolm Brodrick. The kid's father doesn't discipline him, but both find the father dead at the side of the road.

After which Niven tries to help out at the widow's place and Gail Kobe appreciates the help from Niven who is a widower. But Brodrick doesn't appreciate a little discipline in his life that Niven tries to bring. And deputy Chris Alcaide has a most unreasoning dislike of Niven.

Of course the truth comes out in the end which I won't reveal. Niven's trip west was worth the effort as he contributes a fine performance so much so that you don't even notice the English accent.
