Great chemistry, unique spin on an old love story theme.

My only complaint is that GLS was only 25 minutes long. I wish it was a full feature length film (with the same actresses of course). Despite the short air time, it was highly entertaining with a unique plot and fantastic chemistry between Gillery and Abbie.

GLS provided an interesting twist on an age old story that is usually told from the male point of view. Namely, an old flame returns home for a high school reunion while the paternity of a child born to the girl left behind is in question. Obviously in this case, the flame returning home couldn't be the biological parent, but the unique circumstances in this tale made it just as fun to watch.

Gillery and Abbie were the highlight of the film. Their chemistry was red hot and they left you wanting to see more of them as a couple. Kudos to all involved in the production of this gem.

I thought this film was heart warming, and the casts' performances left me wanting more. The commentaries by the writer and director afterward were also fun to hear. The leading ladies played off of each other really well, and the loving moments did not feel forced or odd. The emotions were there and real and brought a humanity that sometimes is left out of the gay and lesbian genre sometimes. The youngest of the cast was a real treat to see. I hadn't heard of her before and I thought that she played the part of a young woman trying to figure out the mystery of her life well. The film made me forget about the lesbian aspect, and made me focus on the dynamics of the characters, and their love for each other instead. I definitely want more! Make it a full length feature already!

"Gillery's Little Secret" is a 10-year-old live action short film written and directed by T.M. Scorzafava. She is not too famous really, but you may have come across some of the cast members already here, such as Annabeth Gish or Julie Ann Emery. The story about revisiting one's (romantic) past is a decent one, but sadly it gets overshadowed by plot developments that felt showy instead of authentic. This is also why, all in all, i did not enjoy these 25 minutes. Quite a pity. There are certainly some good elements in here, such as the acting or also parts of the story, but the emphasis and depiction of same-sex relationship feels done in a way ultimately that adds nothing to the story, but is just in there for the sake of it. I do not recommend the watch.
