It's always sad to see if a supposedly experienced duo of director and writer who worked since the 1970s and early 1990s respectively fails in every regard to come up with an at least mediocre film. This 90-minute movie here is all kinds of bad. The script is really weak and while Speichert at least occasionally tries to play a credible character, the male lead Erol Sander basically proves that he has no range at all. All he does here is grin stupidly and self-complacently and make sexually ambiguous statements to Speichert's character. I really can't decide if he is the worst component or if it is the script. Early on, when he says they should stay away from each other after an almost car crash, everybody knows already they are going to become a couple. Then they added some pseudo drama with other men and women in the key players' lives, a pregnancy story. Of course, the two central characters are depicted that everybody wants them because they are so smart, so attractive and just so perfect which is unfortunately so often the case in these films. It's a television movie, but based on this script, it really never should have been made. Another bad example is how he says at one point that he is glad that music is not his career as it's difficult to make money there and right in the next scene somebody else admires him for his musical talent and concerts etc. Truly embarrassing. A cringeworthy film from start to finish. At least the key people behind it haven't made new movie in 3-4 years. And Sander really isn't a factor anyway apart from his television series. Don't be fooled by the beautiful title. It's all pretentious make-believe. Stay away please.
